Your adventure begins
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by your guide who will transfer you to Kigali for a short city tour where you will visit the genocide memorial site. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to Ruhengeri town for dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for Luxury accommodation, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge for Mid- range accommodation or Kinigi Budget accommodation.
After a good night sleep, followed by an early morning breakfast, your guide will take you to the Park headquarters for a morning briefing. You will then set off for the gorilla trekking, a once in a lifetime adventure. The rangers will lead you deep into the forest in search of the Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures whose company you will cherish for 1 hour. This can take 3-5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Later in the evening, you will be brought back to your accommodation for dinner and and another good night sleep.
The next morning, your guide will once again transfer you to the Park Headquarters for registration and briefing about the Dian Fossey grave trekking. Dian was an American Zoologist who was murdered in 1985 while conducting research about the rare species of Mountain Gorillas and other primates in Parc Des Volcanoes. Make sure you get a good night sleep Golden Monkey trekking awaits you. Golden Monkeys are rare species of primates in Africa and only a few populations can be seen in the Virunga forests of Volcanoes National Park and Mgahinga

You will spend the day in the vibrant town of Gisenyi, and also take a trip and embrace the scenery of Lake Kivu shores. Yes you can also take colling of swim at Lake Kivu. You will visit local markets before making your way back to your accommodation.
